Meet the Marketing & Operations Team

Lucy van Beever is the Senior Director of Career Operations at the Feld Center for Career & Alumni Engagement, where she leads the strategy and operations behind employer engagement, career initiatives, recruiting systems, and office administration, partnering across Questrom and Boston University to deliver programs and services that support student and alumni career success.

With more than 15 years at BU and a background spanning higher education, hospitality, retail, health and wellness, and entrepreneurship, Lucy brings a broad perspective on organizational growth, talent development, and employer engagement. In her current role, she leads the operational infrastructure behind the Feld Center’s programs and services, working alongside her team to plan, implement, and continuously improve the School’s career ecosystem. She also onboards and trains new team members, ensuring staff have the systems, resources, and knowledge needed to serve students, alumni, and employer partners effectively.

Previously at the Feld Center, Lucy served concurrently as Industry Relations Manager (IRM) for the Social Impact MBA program and Director of Employer Engagement. In her IRM role, she coached MBA students and cultivated employer relationships that expanded mission-driven internship and career opportunities. As Director of Employer Engagement, she helped strengthen the Feld Center’s career operations, overseeing employer events, recruiting systems, technology implementation, and operational processes. Prior to joining Questrom, Lucy served as Associate Director of Employer Engagement at BU’s Center for Career Development, where she led employer engagement strategy across the university, supported students and alumni in their job and internship searches, and developed new approaches to strengthen recruiting relationships, including the university’s first nonprofit career fair and recruiter-led mock interviews. She also directed the university-wide implementation of Handshake. Earlier, as Assistant to the Dean at the School of Hospitality Administration, she supported two consecutive deans and stepped in to advise students and manage employer relations during a leadership transition.

Before joining BU, Lucy founded and operated a consulting practice working directly with founders and early-stage companies on strategy, market entry, commercialization, and operational growth — helping organizations move from idea to execution across retail, health and wellness, and consumer sectors.

Lucy holds an M.S. in Administrative Studies from Boston University and a B.S. in Hotel Management from Cornell University.

Patti Collins joined the Questrom Feld Center in June 2015 as Marketing Manager and has more than 25 years of experience at Boston University Questrom School of Business. Before joining the Feld Center, she served as Assistant Director of the Executive Development Roundtable, a research center focused on enhancing the impact of leadership and organizational development for senior executives and their organizations.

In her current role, Patti leads the Feld Center’s integrated marketing strategy and oversees its brand, digital presence, content strategy, and day-to-day marketing and communications. She develops and executes multi-channel campaigns supporting undergraduate, Specialty Master’s, MBA, and alumni populations, promoting more than 250 recruiting events and career workshops annually. Her work focuses on increasing awareness, engagement, and access to career development and recruiting opportunities through strategic content, digital marketing, analytics, and user experience.

Patti also supervises and mentors graduate assistants and undergraduate student employees and develops processes and standard operating procedures to streamline marketing and operational workflows. Her work has contributed to increased audience engagement, event attendance, digital engagement, website traffic, and employment outcome results.

Outside of work, Patti enjoys spending time with family and friends and participating in outdoor and indoor activities, including being in nature, walking, hiking, golf, and resistance training. Patti has a passion for health and wellness and consumes books, videos, podcasts, and content for continued learning and growth.

Sasha Baptiste joined the team in June 2022 as the new Senior Program Coordinator.  She will be supporting daily operations and customer service for Questrom’s undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, alumni, and recruiters. She has a positive attitude and thrives amongst the chaos, which will serve her well as she manages critical office functions and assists in running 200+ employer engagement events each academic year. Her many years of event marketing experience and problem-solving will contribute to her success in this role. Previously, Sasha was part of the Covid-19 Initiative at BU.

Outside of the office, Sasha is an avid fisher who enjoys hosting family and friends.

Bridget Seche joined the Questrom Feld Center in December 2024 as the Assistant Director of Employer Events. With over six years of experience in event planning, including two years with Boston University’s Events & Conferences office, Bridget brings a considerable amount of expertise to her role. Prior to joining the Feld Center, she served as the Sales & Events Specialist at Events & Conferences, where she was responsible for the sales, planning, and execution of a wide range of events.

In her current position, Bridget oversees the logistics for both small- and large-scale industry events hosted or co-hosted by the Feld Center. She plays a key role in maintaining strong relationships with employers, managing recruiting events, and supporting department initiatives aimed at enhancing employer partnerships and operations.

Outside of work, Bridget enjoys going to the gym, exploring the city with friends, spending time with family, going to hockey games and participating in outdoor/indoor activities including tennis, snowboarding, and Pilates.
