At Questrom, supporting your career development is our top priority.  From the start of your BU Questrom student experience, we begin to support your career journey by offering customized tools, resources, and strategic direction throughout your time on campus and beyond. Your career journey starts with the career advisors in the Feld Center for Career & Alumni Engagement. Your dedicated advisor will help you explore career options, build your brand and career skills, and develop your targeted search strategy.

Scheduled Career Advising Services

Professional, undergraduate career advising staff offer in-person and virtual career advising through a student centered, career focused, and market-driven approach. Career advisors partner with students to become self-aware and market-ready as they pursue desired career paths. In addition to the services outlined above, professional career advisors provide support on the following topics and more:

  • Advanced resume and cover letter reviews tailored to desired role and industry
  • Domestic and global internship and job search support
  • Informational interviews and networking strategy
  • Technical and case interview preparation
  • Offer reviews and salary negotiations
  • Post-Graduation planning and alumni support

DROP-IN CAREER ADVISING SERVICES

Drop-In career advising services are supervised by professional, undergraduate career advising staff and provided by undergraduate career skills coaches. Career Skills Coaches are highly trained undergraduate students that can provide career management support in the following areas:

  • Resume and cover letter critique
  • LinkedIn profile review
  • Networking introduction
  • Basic interview preparation
  • Career fair and networking event registration
  • Handshake and career resource inquiries

Drop-In Career Advising is offered during the academic year (fall and spring semesters).

For the fall, the Drop-In Career Advising hours are:

Monday – Friday 

10:00AM-12:00PM 

1:00PM-4:00PM

FELD CENTER NO-SHOW POLICY FOR APPOINTMENTS

If you sign up for a 1:1 career advising appointment, you are expected to show up. Career advisors allocate time slots for 1:1 appointment, and they dedicate time to preparing for these student meetings. If you no-show to a career advising appointment, we take this very seriously and track occurrences. Read More About Our No-Show Policy
