PhD Event Policy

The Feld Center is pleased to offer additional support for the career development of Questrom PhD students who are interested in exploring careers in industry.

The Boston University Office of Professional Development and Alumni Affairs is the central source of career support for BU PhD students. The Feld Center is pleased to offer additional support for the career development of Questrom PhD students who are interested in exploring careers in industry. All Questrom PhD students have access to our career platform, Handshake, as well as to many additional career resources through the Feld website.

A majority of our on-campus recruiting partners are visiting campus to fill roles targeted toward undergraduate, specialty Masters, and MBA students. There may occasionally be roles that would also be appropriate for a PhD student interested in pivoting from academia to industry.

PhD students are welcome to email questromcareers@bu.edu to request admittance to any employer event, with the understanding that PhDs may not be among the target population for the employer or the roles they are aiming to fill.

When space is limited at employer events, priority will be given to the target student populations requested by the employer and/or those student populations most relevant to the employer’s hiring needs.
