Meet Adrien Solano, Questrom ‘20. Adrien received a BSBA, Strategy & Finance. He is currently a business analyst at Censeo Consulting Group. To get to know more about Adrien and his post-graduation journey, see the Q&A below:
Q: What program were you in and what did you like most about the program? Staff resources? Faculty? Teammates or something else?
A: I attended Questrom and concentrated in Strategy and Finance. My favorite part of the program was the faculty! I appreciated being taught—in most cases—by people who spent years in their industry. I find that I use more of what I learned in class at work than I expected, and I attribute a lot of that to my professors’ experience.
Q: Provide advice on how to build a network.
A: It’s easier than a lot of people make it seem! Just reach out to people who are doing things that interest you. Even in the year I’ve been working, a number of people interested in consulting have reached out to me via email or LinkedIn. As long as I have time, I’m happy to speak to them, and most people feel the same way. A simple chat or conversation is the best way to start building a network, but then remember to stay in touch past that first communication.
Q: Why did you choose BU and Questrom for your education?
A: The caliber of the program at BU and Questrom was the first deciding factor, but a large reason I chose the school was location. Being in Boston (and in the Northeast generally) allows for a great opportunity to network with business leaders and allows for easy exposure to companies I wanted to work with.
