Apple is fleshing out its ambitious goals for the $100 million commitment it made to advance racial equity following the George Floyd protests. The tech giant’s plans include $25 million toward Propel Center, a virtual platform for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), which would include a physical campus in Atlanta. In Detroit, the company plans to launch the Apple Developer Academy, which will support students in coding and tech. Apple’s Racial Equity and Justice Initiative will also provide capital funding to Black and Brown entrepreneurs.
